Spark Professional Services contributed to an innovative off-grid energy project at one of Australia’s largest poultry farms. This groundbreaking initiative sets a new standard for renewable energy in agriculture, enabling the facility to operate with minimal environmental impact.
Our scope of work included testing and commissioning the 11kV private distribution network, spanning 4.5km of overhead lines, along with associated protection systems, switchgear, transformers, and earthing systems. We also commissioned critical components such as HV switchgear, battery systems, and substations, ensuring seamless integration with the renewable energy generation system.

As part of a major data centre project, Spark Professional Services handled the commissioning of a complex network of 30 advanced switchgears, including an extensive protection system equipped with high-quality Schneider and SEL relays.
The project called for essential components like voltage transformers, current transformers, and battery systems, which we expertly integrated and commissioned. In addition to our technical skills, we effectively managed client documentation and adhered to client standards throughout the project. Our team successfully managed client documentation, adhered to high standards, and collaborated effectively with subcontractors to deliver a high-quality outcome. Our final delivery was achieved through careful coordination with several subcontractors working in the switchroom, each dealing with different systems, including LV assist and UPS.

This project involved replacing outdated Westinghouse HQ-type switchgear, originally installed in the early nineties, with modern equipment to enhance dependability and reduce manual handling risks. Our scope of work included the comprehensive commissioning of the HV switchgear, protection systems, battery systems, and critical substation components, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the upgraded infrastructure.
